STRATEGIC EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE
Strategic EVS is a huge project of European Voluntary Service which was approved by European commission in summer 2017. Thanks to this project we are able to receive during next three years (till 2020) in total 18 foreign volunteers who are coming to beautiful city Hradec Králové to do their voluntary service for 10 months. We provide volunteers with accommodation, food, Czech language private lessons, pocket money and covered travel cost expanses relevant to the project during their stay. They have also an emotional and psychical support not only from our side but also through their mentors. Mentor is a person interested in voluntary activities, willing to practice foreign language (mainly English) and to voluntary devote part of his/ her free time to support one of our volunteers and help the volunteer with some small tasks, integration to local community or take the volunteer to some trip etc.
Volunteers have various tasks and activities during their stay here which depend on their experience, skills, education and especially volunteer’s interests. We have a wide network of collaborating local partner organizations where the volunteers can go and help in the city of Hradec Králové and its region. It’s for instance alternative Elementary School Hučák, Youth House in Kostelec nad Orlicí, ecological organization ČSOP Jaro Jaroměř, community café ClubCafé Pessoa or association of young people YMCA. We are also organizing small scale cultural and social events to support and raise awareness about volunteering and Erasmus + programmes. Those events could be for instance the Voluntary club, non-formal meetings Language TO GO or other various presentations and workshops organized in our local partner organizations.
